Train-the-Trainer Programs

If you’re a human resources, training, or other professional with strong facilitation skills and a commitment to building and modeling a civil, inclusive and productive workplace, consider becoming an ELI® Certified Facilitator.

Our Train-the-Trainer Program offers a dynamic, interactive course to give you the knowledge and skills needed to deliver ELI’s award-winning learning solutions to your organization.

Our certification course consists of a three-day, experiential workshop where participants learn the foundations of ELI’s learning philosophy, methodologies, and course content. You will experience a Civil Treatment® course as a participant, and then have the opportunity to practice presenting course segments yourself.

The program is a blended learning experience that includes self-study pre-work, live instruction (either virtually or in-person), and homework activities on the ELI Learning Management System (LMS).

Each certification event will focus on delivering one of ELI’s learning solutions while talking about facilitation best practices, exploring the differences between delivering training virtually and in-person, and working through conceptual resistance and challenging behaviors.

Certification Program Agenda

Following the live program days, participants complete a personal onboarding call with their Client Relationship Manager to ensure that there are no questions left unanswered and to officially welcome them to the Certified Facilitator Community.

During the ELI Train-The-Trainer program, candidates will:

  • Explore ELI program content and subject matter and identify ways to integrate the organization’s values, and other standards from the code of business conduct, and policies into the learning experience;
  • Practice combining ELI’s unique training philosophy, methodologies, and behavioral models to deliver an engaging learning experience and support change in behavior for better business results;
  • Consider differences between in-person and virtual program delivery, the differences between facilitating to organization’s leaders and employees, and how to resolve technical and classroom behavioral challenges that may arise during facilitation.

Certified Facilitator Community

The CFC portal gives you access to:
  • Downloadable presentations, facilitator guides and course videos

“What I liked about this certification process was that it was tough. It really made me work and at the same time, get very comfortable with the philosophy and teaching methodologies that ELI has established. Our facilitator was professional and very knowledgeable not only with the material but also gave us great feedback and tips for helpful facilitation techniques.”
