In today’s turbulent times, successful organizations know that focusing on creating an open, inclusive and fair workplace is a business necessity enabling individuals and teams to reach their full potential.
Civil Treatment Workplace: Inclusion NOW Essentials was designed to help both leaders and employees understand their role in creating a respectful, professional environment where everyone can thrive.
During this course, participants will analyze situations in which a lack of diversity, equity, inclusion, or accessibility is causing workplace problems and will explore ways to solve them.
The course examines three key qualities expressed in day-to-day behaviors that help build a fair and welcoming workplace: respect, curiosity, and belonging.
Learn how respect is the cornerstone to maintaining trust and a positive work environment.
Explore how curiosity increases openness and transparency in the organization.
Experience ways to foster community and use the JustTalk Model to speak up.
During this 45-minute online course, participants will review and apply several time-tested ELI® models, which participants can then apply to situations that arise in the flow of their work. In addition to practicing these skills, participants will complete a self-reflection activity worksheet to help them gauge their own behavior and consider strategies for being more inclusive.
Leaders who take the course will receive additional self-directed activities to help them explore their role in building an open, inclusive and fair workplace.
With a focus on how to be welcoming and how to hold people accountable to the organization’s values, this additional content offers text-based scenarios for reflection and challenges participants to lead a discussion with their teams about these important concepts.
